About Orchestrate Digital

We help small businesses use AI for the boring useful stuff. Drafting emails, chasing invoices, writing social posts, knocking out admin. The bits of running a business nobody loves. So you can get back to the work you actually do.

A small business in Darlington helping other small businesses

Most AI consultancies are built for big companies and priced for big budgets. We're built for the other 95% of businesses. The ones running on a few people, where everyone wears three hats, and the owner is also doing the books on a Sunday night.

We don't deal in advice columns or strategy decks. We sit down with you, work out what eats your week, and set up AI that takes it off your plate. No buzzwords. No fifty-page reports. Just useful, practical things you can use on Monday.

We love working with AI. We love working with people more. So we come to you in person wherever we can. We work across Tees Valley, County Durham, Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. Mostly within ninety minutes of Darlington, sometimes further when it makes sense.

Free AI sessions for local groups and charities

Alongside our work with businesses, we run free AI introduction sessions for community groups, charities and local organisations. No agenda, no pitch, just an hour of practical, friendly questions and answers.

Plain English, no jargon

An hour spent on what AI actually does and doesn't do. No slide decks, no buzzwords. Anyone curious is welcome.

Round here matters to us

We live and work in the North East. We want to see local communities doing well, and helping people understand AI is part of that.

Charities and community groups welcome

Local groups, charities, residents' associations, school PTAs. If a friendly chat about AI would help your members or volunteers, drop us a line.

No account managers, no junior associates, just me

I started Orchestrate Digital because I kept seeing the same thing. AI tools that could genuinely help small businesses, but the advice and training around them was either too technical, too expensive, or built for companies ten times the size. None of it was designed for the people I knew, running real businesses, doing the actual work.

I've run small businesses myself, including a café for several years. I know what it's like to finish service at 4pm shattered, still owing emails, with the books to do on Sunday. So when I help someone with AI, I’m thinking less about big ideas and more about making the end of a long day feel a bit less heavy.

I love working with AI, but I love working with people more. So wherever we can, I'll come to you, sit down with your team and work through it together. Based in Darlington. Most work happens within ninety minutes' drive across Tees Valley, County Durham, Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. Remote works fine when it suits your week, but in person is where the good conversations happen.

One person, start to finish

You'll deal with me directly. No handovers, no account managers, no junior associates running point.

Real small-business experience

I've run small businesses myself. I understand the week from the inside, not from a slide deck.

Six things we hold to, every job

Not a values poster on a wall. The actual rules we apply when we're sitting in your office working out what to do.

People first, tools second

AI is a tool. People are the point. We start by understanding your team, your week and what you're actually trying to do, before mentioning a single piece of tech.

Boring, useful, quietly winning

No vanity projects. No flashy demos. We focus on the recurring weekly jobs AI is genuinely good at, the ones that give you real time back.

Plain English, no jargon

If we can't explain something in a sentence, we don't recommend it. No buzzwords, no acronyms used to sound clever, no consultant speak.

In it for the long run

We'd rather have one client for ten years than ten for one year. The work compounds, the trust matters, and we'd rather know your business well than skim across the surface.

Honest about what AI can't do

AI makes things up. AI gets stuff wrong. AI isn't magic. We'll tell you what it's actually good at, what it's not, and where to put a human check before anything goes out the door.

Round here matters

We're based in Darlington and we want to see local businesses doing well. Free community sessions, support for charities, time given to people who can't pay. It's how we want to work.

Based in Darlington, covering the North

We're in Darlington, on the southern edge of the North East. From here we cover Tees Valley, County Durham, Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. Most of our work happens within ninety minutes' drive. We'll travel further when it makes sense.

We love working with AI. We love working with people more. So wherever we can, we'll come to your office, your shop floor, your kitchen table. That's where the good conversations happen and where the work gets understood properly.

Remote works fine for the bits where it's the right tool, but it's the fallback, not the default. The first conversation, the workshop, the bit where we sit with your team and figure out what to do — that's better in person.

A few examples of what this looks like in practice

Three small businesses we've helped recently. Real problems, specific solutions, time given back.

Trades & home services

AI receptionist for a local gas engineer

A self-employed gas engineer was missing calls throughout the day while out on jobs, losing customers with no way to follow up. We built an AI phone agent that handles his incoming calls when he's unavailable, asks the right questions to understand what each customer needs, and sends him a clear daily summary of every contact made.

  • What we built: AI voice receptionist that qualifies callers and captures job details
  • The result: no more missed opportunities. He ends every day knowing exactly who called and what they need.
Hospitality & food service

Smarter stock and social media for a local café

A local café was over-ordering slow-selling items, struggling to keep up with online reviews, and missing out on social engagement. We built two connected tools: a weather-aware stock ordering system that adjusts orders based on the forecast and flags items that aren't moving, plus an AI review analyst that reads social media feedback and drafts ready-to-approve responses.

  • What we built: AI stock ordering with weather forecasting, plus AI review response drafter
  • The result: less waste, smarter ordering, and a significant improvement in social media engagement
Hair & beauty

Automated social and appointment reminders for a hair salon

A busy hair salon wanted a more consistent social media presence but didn't have time to manage posts or respond to reviews manually. We set up automated social media content alongside AI-drafted review responses. The biggest win came from the AI appointment reminder system, which led to a significant drop in no-shows.

  • What we built: automated social posts, AI review responses, and smart appointment reminders
  • The result: a much stronger online presence and a large reduction in missed appointments

Want to work together?

Tell us two things in your week that drain your time. We'll come back with how AI can take them off your plate. Twenty minutes on a call, no pitch, no jargon, no sales nonsense. If nothing useful comes out of it you've lost twenty minutes. If something does, you've got someone in your corner who's actually run a small business and understands what's most important.
